Hiroshima and the Mosler Safe Company: Vault Beats Nuke.

Five years after the Enola Gay dropped her 'gizmo' payload on the city of Hiroshima, the Teikoku Bank's management sent this letter of praise to the Mosler Safe Company.

While the city had been laid waste, the Mosler-built safety vault in the (destroyed, later rebuilt) Teikoku Bank branch in Hiroshima protected its contents perfectly.

There's an eerie enlightenment to the letter, where the Teikoku representative, a mere five years after the obliteration of the city and on the verge of re-opening their business, discusses the bomb as if it was something that 'happened' rather than an act that was committed. Almost as if it was a tragic act of nature.
